Sue Bailey came to the United States at the age of 11. She grew up in Oregon where she still lives. Sue is married with two children. She was a very successful merchandise buyer for Nordstrom Store before settling down to have her family. Sue has reconnected with her Korean family and remains in contact with them. Sue has been a guest speaker at adoption conferences and workshops presenting her perspective on adoption. Sue attended the Gathering in Korea in 2004.

Wayne Ji Soo Berry   Mr. Wayne Ji Soo Berry ~ Portland, OR

Wayne Berry grew up in Minnesota and was very active in the Korean adoptee community through children's camps, mentorships, and adult adoptee organizations. In 1996-97, Wayne lived in Korea while enrolled in a culture and language program. Wayne graduated from Concordia University in Public Education and lives in Portland with his wife and son. He currently works in marketing and project management for Nike's Asia Pacific division and is active with the Korean adopted community both locally as well as supporting the community on a broader level.

Biologist

Joy grew up in York, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2001 and currently works as a cell culture associate for a pharmaceutical company. After attending the 2007 Gathering in Seoul and experiencing a positive first time trip back to Korea , Joy is looking forward to learning more about intercountry adoption and being involved in the adoptee community.

Kim Brown   Mr. Kim Brown ~ Ladera Ranch, CA

Kim Brown grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He and his wife Lori are adoptive parents of son, Kyle and daughter, Macie. They were invited to Korea in 2001 to participate in meetings with the First Lady and Korean government officials regarding their adoption experience, both as an adoptee and as an adoptive parent. Mr. Brown is a longtime advocate for homeless children and serves on the board of directors of Holt International.
